It's been a few weeks since I embarrassed myself (in public at least) so I figured it's time for another another look behind the scenes of a shoot that didn't go quite like I thought it would. In this case we're heading down to a parking lot on the Embarcadero with a splendid view of the Bay Bridge and scene of a an early-morning shoot with a dog named Bebop a few weeks back.
Bebop is fairly well connected (his dad is with KFOG 104.5 FM) and had his people bring along a prop -- the station truck. Genius that I am I thought it would be nice to have Bebop seated in the truck with the bridge behind it. I figured it would help keep him still and make it easier to get things lined up. Well, it turns out Bebop gets kind of excited (and vocal) when he's in a vehicle so this shoot definitely go as planned. Check it out, including the final shot that made it all worthwhile.

Shots: 15-17: Bebop's mom steps in to end choir practice. Bebop listens intently and...checks to make sure the coast is clear

DOGGONE great fotos! They rock , KFOG rocks and so do you Signore Mark!
I LOVE these! And these are just a peek into a day in the life of Bebop. That was a lot of fun, and a good challenge. Thanks, Mark, these photos make me want to do it again!
Hah. One of the joys of taking dog pictures. Always use a fast shutter speed, ’cause you never know what you’re going to freeze in your viewfinder.
Agreed, Adam. Sometimes the shots you think will be utter junk end up being the best…
